Construction Project Manager - Data Centres

The Project
Our client is delivering large scale construction projects in Finland. This is a client side role. You represent the owner from design through to handover and carry the project end to end. Data centre experience is preferred, and sponsorship is available for the right candidate relocating to Finland.

What You Will Do

• Lead projects on the client’s behalf, from design development through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Manage cost, programme, quality and risk across civil, structural, architectural and MEP packages.
• Direct the general contractor, consultants and designers, and hold them to scope and programme.
• Run design reviews and change control, and challenge variations that do not protect the client.
• Oversee commissioning and witness testing, then coordinate handover to operations.
• Report progress, budget and risk to senior stakeholders and the client’s directors.

What You Will Need

• Delivered at least one full project as the accountable project manager, from design phase to handover.
• A background in a general contractor or a construction consultancy (project management, construction management or similar).
• Managed CSA and MEP packages together on a large build, with working knowledge of the commissioning stages.
• Managed contractors, consultants and client stakeholders on a live programme, with the authority to make decisions on site.

Useful But Not Essential

• Data centre or other mission critical experience, such as pharma, semiconductor or hospital critical services.
• A degree in construction management, civil engineering or a related subject. A practical route with the right experience is equally welcome.
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building or an equivalent body.
