Parapex uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Those that are strictly necessary keep the website secure and remember the choices you make. Analytics is optional: it remains off until you accept it, and you can change your choice at any time from Privacy settings at the bottom of every page. We do not use cookies for advertising, and the website works in the same way whether or not you accept analytics.

This policy explains how Parapex Ltd ("Parapex", "we" or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. Parapex Ltd is registered under company number 17430162, with its registered office at 11 Ship Street, Brecon, Powys, LD3 9AD, United Kingdom. This policy should be read together with our privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features that allow a website to keep small items of information on your device; session storage is cleared when you close the browser tab. In this policy, references to cookies include these technologies unless stated otherwise.
Strictly necessary
Some technologies are required for the website to operate securely, to respect your privacy choice and to provide features you ask for. They do not require your consent. Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this website, may set a cookie lasting no more than 30 minutes to distinguish genuine visitors from automated traffic, and Cloudflare Turnstile performs a similar check on our forms. A first-party cookie, with a copy set by our server, records whether you have accepted or rejected analytics, as described under Managing your choices. None of these is used for tracking or advertising.
Preferences you set
If you select Light or Dark at the bottom of any page, your browser records that display setting in local storage so the website opens in the same way on your next visit; selecting Auto removes it. When you apply for a role, your browser records the role reference and the date in local storage, so the role page can show that you have already applied. This record contains no name, contact details or other information that identifies you, and each entry is deleted after four months. Neither item is sent to Parapex or to any third party.
Analytics
With your consent, we use Umami, an analytics service operated by Parapex, to understand how the website is used. It records the pages you view, the website that referred you, any campaign label that Parapex has added to a link to this website, and interactions such as starting a form, submitting it, the type of any error and completing a submission. It does not receive your name, anything you type into a form, or sensitive details from web addresses. From browser and network information it derives a pseudonymous daily visit identifier, the browser and device type, and an approximate location.
Umami does not set cookies. So that the same form start or submission is not counted twice, two short lists are kept in session storage for the current browser tab; they are written only after you consent and are deleted if you withdraw it. Analytics data is not used for advertising, is not shared with advertisers, and is kept for up to 12 months.
Managing your choices
On your first visit we ask whether you accept analytics, unless your browser sends a privacy signal, as described below. The notice offers Accept analytics and Reject analytics as equal choices, and closing it without choosing is treated as a refusal. You can change your choice at any time from Privacy settings at the bottom of every page.
Your choice is recorded for 180 days in a first-party cookie, parapex_analytics_choice_v1, which notes the choice, how and when it was made, and the version of the notice it relates to. Your browser also sends your choice to the Parapex server, which sets a copy of it in a further cookie, named parapex_analytics_choice_v1_server_followed by the time the choice was made, so that your choice lasts the full 180 days in browsers that would otherwise shorten the first. A new copy is set each time you make a choice, and copies other than the one for your current choice are deleted when you make it and the next time you view a page on this website. A copy is used only if the first cookie is no longer present, and each copy expires 180 days after the choice it records. Parapex does not keep a record of your choice on its servers; as with any request to this website, the request appears briefly in our hosting provider's standard logs.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, analytics remains off regardless of any saved choice. You can also delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block the cookie that records your choice, the website cannot remember it, and you may be asked again on a later visit.
Third parties
Fonts are served from this website, not by a third-party font service. Your IP address is received only by Cloudflare, which hosts this website, and, if you accept analytics, by the provider that hosts our analytics service. The Cloudflare Turnstile check on our forms runs in a frame served by Cloudflare, under Cloudflare's own privacy terms.
