CSA Project Manager - Data Centre Construction

The Project
A major data centre operator is building a long-term programme of new facilities across several sites in Finland. It is hiring people to stay with the programme and take buildings from the ground up, phase after phase. You will lead the civil, structural and architectural (CSA) scope from detailed design through to handover.
What You Will Do
- Lead the CSA scope from excavation, piling, foundations and slab through steel frame, roofing and facades to a building ready for equipment install.
- Manage the general contractor, civils contractors and subcontractors against programme, quality, safety and cost, and support tender evaluation for major CSA packages.
- Challenge contractor methodology, sequencing and logistics before problems reach the critical path.
- Review RFIs, shop drawings and design changes, and make the client's call on change and scope.
- Coordinate CSA interfaces with mechanical, electrical and commissioning teams so rooms are ready for equipment and energisation.
- Run inspections and defect close-out, then hand the completed building over to operations.
What You Will Need
- You have managed substructure and structure packages on a large, complex build: excavation, piling, foundations, slab and steel frame.
- A contractor background, as a project manager or construction manager on civils or building packages, in data centres, pharma, logistics, industrial or similar.
- You have taken a project from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
- The ability to challenge a contractor's programme with evidence and keep the working relationship intact.
- Willingness to relocate to Finland for a long-term role.
Useful But Not Essential
- Data centre or other mission-critical experience.
- Previous client-side, developer or owner/operator experience.
- A degree in civil or structural engineering or construction management, or PMP, PRINCE2, CIOB, RICS or ICE accreditation.
