Who we are
Parapex Ltd is a recruitment consultancy specialising in data centre construction, data centre operations and critical construction infrastructure. The short version
We use our recruitment system and email to handle applications, registrations and enquiries. This website does not maintain an applicant database or retain CV files. It keeps limited technical records to operate and protect the service, including submission references and security logs. We do not sell your data, we do not send marketing you did not ask for, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time.
What we collect
If you apply for a role: your name, email address, phone number, your CV, and anything you write in the cover note. If you register speculatively: the same, plus your discipline, where you can work, and whether you want permanent or fixed term work. If you enquire about hiring: your name, work email, phone number if you give it, your company, and what you tell us about the role. If you send a message from the contact page: your name, email address and the message. With your consent, analytics operated by Parapex records the pages viewed, approved campaign labels and general actions such as starting or completing a form. It receives no form contents or contact details. The analytics service, Umami, derives a pseudonymous daily visit identifier from the request and keeps linked visit and event records.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
To consider you for roles, to talk to you about them, and to run our business. For applications we rely on our legitimate interests in recruitment, and on taking steps at your request. For a speculative registration we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For client enquiries we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to a business enquiry. Website analytics is optional and relies on your consent. You can reject or withdraw it through Privacy settings in the footer; forms and browsing still work. Analytics rows currently remain for up to 12 calendar months. A shorter 90-day period requires an infrastructure change.
What happens to your CV
When you upload a CV, the website processes it temporarily to pass it to our recruitment system. It does not retain a separate CV copy. Check the form's response to see whether your submission completed; if it reports a problem, follow its guidance or contact us. If you email your CV instead, a copy is held in our mailbox and may be added to our recruitment system.
Who we share it with
Our recruitment system, JobAdder, which holds candidate and client records. Our website email provider, Resend, which delivers enquiry and contact messages to our team. Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the website. Our server hosting provider, which hosts the analytics service that Parapex operates. We share your CV and details with a client only when we have discussed the role with you first. We never sell your data.
Where your data goes
Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires: an adequacy decision where one exists, and otherwise the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Candidate records, including CVs, are kept for 24 months from our last contact with you, then reviewed or deleted. Client enquiry records are kept for 36 months from our last contact. Website logs are kept for up to 30 days. Analytics data is kept for a rolling 12 calendar months and receives no names or contact details.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, ask us to restrict it, or ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time, and we will delete your details. Emailprivacy@parapextalent.com and we will reply within five working days and complete your request within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
